Omschrijving: Small molecule STAT3-specific inhibitor which blocks activation, dimerization and nuclear translocation via binding to the STAT3 SH2 domain. It is a very useful tool for exploring STAT3-mediated signaling pathways. It blocks LPS-mediated STAT3 tyrosine phosphorylation which leads to inhibition of LPS-mediated IL-1β and IL-6 production. In primary cultures of rat neural stem cells it blocks IL-15-induced differentiation.
